Brickyard Retreat At Mutianyu Great Wall, Huairou

We had a wonderful stay overall at the hotel. The Chairman Suite we were upgraded to was absolutely stunning, and the food was freshly prepared with local ingredients, making dining a delight. However, during our visit in early February, we did experience some chilly temperatures in our room, and the bathroom layout was a bit unconventional. Still, the hotel's proximity to the Great Wall is a huge plus.

Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience after our long hikes along the Great Wall. The views were stunning, and the atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms are stylish and spacious, though the lack of decent curtains made it a bit challenging for a lie-in. Overall, it’s a unique place with a great story, but you should be prepared for some sunlight in the morning.

Staying at the Brickyard was a real treat. The unique design of the hotel with its quirky rooms adds character, and the views of the Great Wall were stunning. The service was quite good, especially at the front desk, but they could have been a bit more attentive in some areas. Dining was hearty and satisfying, although I wished for broader breakfast options. Overall, it was a lovely escape, but some minor improvements would enhance the experience.

My stay at The Brickyard was simply unforgettable, thanks to its idyllic location near the Great Wall, and the stunning and comfortable accommodations. The service from the staff was exceptional, going above and beyond to meet our needs. We enjoyed delicious meals, but I do think the dining options could be expanded. Overall, it was great value for money, but I wish there were more recreational facilities like a pool.
